Troops out of Iraq

President Bush announced plans today withdraw 8,000 troops from Iraq before he leaves office in January. Do you think that he is saying this to push McCain ahead of Obama or will he follow through with these plans? DO any of you have family or friends in Iraq or Afghanistan?

I really think that this is not even for McCain or to dis Obama. But this is really for Bush. What i mean by that is be for he is done with his term as president he would want to look like the good guy. And he will be known for doing something good for once. But who knows maybe he will finaly keep his word on this one and that would great. But that's nothing compared to what he has started. He sent billons of troop's there and only brang back 8,000 even though that number is better than nothing but come on.....And no i don't have any family members there that i know of but i do know how madd those with mother's and father's and aunts and uncles must feel about what Bush has caused. But just maybe he will keep his promise this time.....that's my opion

This is Francis Jimenez. I think that Bush isn't withdrawing the 8,000 troops to help McCain get ahead of Obama. I think that he has decided he is going to withdraw
troops for his own interest. The way I see it, he wants people to support him. If he withdraws the troops, it is going to be harder for the United States to win wars considering the fact that there will be less people. Since the withdrawl of troops is scheduled to take place before the next President is elected, the next President is going to be held responsible for loosing wars. The people of course do not want to loose wars so they will say to themselves that the USA was dominant when Bush was President causing them to favor him over the rest and wanting him back as the United States' President.

This is Mairym I no for a fact that Bush isn't going to withdraw the 8,000 troops from Iraq. He had said the same thing awhile back that he was going to withdraw some troops.
But he didn't it was a lie he was trying to make himself look good. An I believe he is doing the same thing again and that he won't come thru again. And this has nothing to do with McCain it's just about Bush image.
